HISTORY
Our hospital which has been affiliated to the special provincial administration commenced service as Gureba Hospital with a capacity of 50 beds in 1927. For this reason, the establishment date of Muğla State Hospital is known as 1927. The name had been changed to Memleket Hospital in 1940 and then it changed into Muğla State Hospital in 1954 following the affiliation to the Ministry of Health. In 2006, it was merged with Menteşe State Hospital after the transfer of SSK (Social Insurance Institution) hospitals to the Ministry of Health and continued to provide service with a capacity of 400 beds. Pursuant to the protocol signed with Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University in May 2011, it took the name of Muğla Training and Research Hospital and began to offer third level (high level) healthcare service.
Our hospital which is located on Muğla -Marmaris highway and 6 km away from the city center has started health care service on 29th of October 2017 and ıt has reached 660 bed capacity. Also an outpatient clinic is stil being provided to service in the city center.
